Expert Survival Tip: If You Are In A Wedding, Always Be Prepared. Create A Wedding Day Bridal Emergency Kit!

Most brides do a great job planning the wedding day, but some neglect to prepare for the little things that “might go wrong”. Not to encourage negative thinking, but we say take the Boy Scout motto and always be prepared.

We have all seen the crazy home videos of the bride’s hair catching fire or the groom fainting at the altar, but what about the smaller crazy moments that most wedding guests never see?

Take, for example, my friend Sara Beth. She forgot to wear deodorant, lost her lip gloss, developed shiny face, her veil fell out and her bustle tore. All little things, but added together it could have been disastrous. Luckily, I had my trusty Wedding Day Emergency Kit.

In the kit I had a solution to every problem: deodorant for the stinky bride, clear lip gloss, oil blotting facial sheets, bobby pins to secure the veil and tons of safety pins to re-bustle the bustle. At the end, I was shocked we didn’t end up using the Pepto Bismol tablets, nail file, super glue, brush, tape and scissors…oh, wait, yes, we did use all of these while getting ready for the ceremony! Good thing we had all those necessities and more, just in case.

A Wedding Day Emergency Kit is one of the most important keys to a successful wedding and can help every bride and groom have the wedding day of their dreams. An emergency kit can give couples relief and confidence with the tools they might need to solve those little unexpected “Uh, Oh” moments. Plus, you might even become the wedding day hero for having the thoughtful forethought to bring one!

About the Author

Tiffany Bordelon-Walsh and Lindsay Bellock After serving in twelve weddings and planning her own, Tiffany Bordelon-Walsh took the tradition one step further and customized the "Bride Box" into a memorable keepsake for the bride. When Lindsay Bellock was asked to be a Maid of Honor for the first time, Tiffany was quick to coach on how to be the best Maid of Honor ever! After countless friends, family and guests raved over Lindsay's bridal survival kit, she decided to combine powers with Tiffany and Just In Cases was born! Aside from the obvious pun of our emergency kits being in "cases", there is also a tender moment at the end of the film "Love Actually" that helped inspire our name. The character Jamie learns Portuguese to speak to the woman he has fallen in love with and she learns English as well. He asks her why she learned his language and she replies "Just In Cases". To us, this scene represents love against the odds and we hope our boxes can provide that kind of happiness!
